MOUNT VERNON — Thursday afternoon’s Senior Day on the Square at the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival gave senior citizens a one-stop venue to explore services offered by a variety of providers.
John Davidson was one of the individuals who took advantage of the opportunity. “I’m just scooping up goodies,” he said. “And checking out the services I may need later. Right now I’m only 74.”
The providers on Thursday included Signature Home Health Care, Acclaim Hospice, Executive Care Home Health, Visiting Nurses Association of Ohio, The Laurels of Mount Vernon, Hospice of Knox County and Touch of Grace Home Health. Each had printed material to distribute, and, as Davidson said, a variety of “goodies” such as manual fans.
Also on the square, people were picnicking, enjoying festival food, checking out the fountain and socializing with family and friends.
