MOUNT VERNON — Indictments were filed in Knox County Common Pleas Court this morning against Tabitha Raver and David Scott Jr.
According to court documents, Raver and Scott were both indicted on one endangering children felony charge, death of Raver’s 4-year-old son, Kendrick Breece.
Raver called 9-1-1 on Aug. 12, claiming her son was barely breathing and that he had fallen down the stairs twice the day before. The child was transported to Nationwide Children’s Hospital where he later died.
Scott and Raver are each held on a $100,000 bond in the Knox County Jail, where they have been since their Aug. 15 arrest. They were appointed a Knox County Public Defender as counsel of record, pending eligibility.
Thatcher said the investigation into the child’s death continues and additional charges will likely be presented to a grand jury when the investigation has been completed.
