Mosquito spraying continues throughout the county, and, since rabies has been confirmed in one bat in the county, residents have been bringing in other bats to be tested. Miller also said 115 animals were vaccinated at the recent rabies clinic. She said the rabies clinic was an example of good collaboration between animal control and the humane society.

Flu shot season is here, and Miller said flu clinics held so far have been well received. Additional clinics will be held and Miller was pleased to announce that Martinsburg and Brinkhaven will be added to the flu clinic list. County residents may also get flu shots at the health department.
