DANVILLE — A Nashville Road woman was rescued after calling 9-1-1 Friday night following a domestic dispute which left her with a gash on her head.
Emergency medical personnel from Eastern Knox County Joint Fire Department responded to the area but staged away from the residence in response to reports that the man involved was threatening violence.
Communication between the victim and law enforcement encouraged the woman, and any other occupants of the home, to walk out the front door and down the road to where emergency personnel were waiting.
At 8:21 p.m., it was dispatched that “We have the victim safe.” First responders were then told to “disengage and leave the area.”
The man was reported to have a shot gun and hand gun.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Ohio Highway Patrol responded.
A message left for Knox County Sheriff David Barber seeking additional information regarding the incident was not returned at press time.
