Over 295 vehicles drove through Saturday’s Mount Vernon News Recycling Day in an effort to keep newspapers and magazines out of our landfills. The semi-annual event allows News readers the convenience of hassle-free recycling and the benefit of a free one month subscription to the News. Employees spent the morning unloading recyclable materials and placing them in containers provided by Rumpke.
