Judge Otho Eyster ordered that Nunn’s seven-year sentence will be served as a mandatory prison term with no opportunity for early release from prison. Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher said Nunn and a co-defendant sold heroin on numerous occasions from early March until the beginning of June. Nunn also destroyed a cellular telephone containing evidence of drug trafficking activity when he was arrested. Detective Doug Turpen, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, and Detective Craig Feeney, Mount Vernon Police Department, investigated the case.

Juan M. Grimaldo, 44, Columbus, was convicted of his sixth operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol offense in 20 years. Grimaldo was sentenced to a five-year term of community control supervision beginning with a 135 day jail sentence that started immediately. Eyster suspended Grimaldo’s driver’s license for three years, ordered him to pay a fine of $1,350, and to submit to drug and alcohol monitoring.

Grimaldo will serve a 17-month prison term if he violates any condition of his supervision. Thatcher said on Jan. 14, Grimaldo drove a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol prior to losing control of the vehicle and crashing into a residence on Ohio 661. Trooper Coby Holloway, Ohio State Highway Patrol, investigated the case.
