  • Bladensburg firefighters quickly confined a fire in the kitchen of this mobile home on Hopewell Road a mile north of the village. A passerby saw smoke coming from roof vent and turned in the alarm. It is owned by Tammy Scott Mayle and her 4-year-old son. The incident commander, Lt. Fred Summerfield, said there was considerable smoke damage. The Knox County Red Cross is assisting Mayle. Summerfield has called in the State Fire Marshal to determine the cause of the fire. style=
