Sanoh of America was honored for providing the largest volume of work for New Hope Industries, while amg Industries was honored as the business with the longest history of having contracted with New Hope.

Receiving the Employer of the Year Award was Kroger and the Knox County Engineer’s Office.

“It’s an honor to receive (the award),” said Kroger Service Director Heather Fowler, “But the real honor is working with these individuals. They enrich not only my life, but those of their associates and the entire community.”

The Knox County Engineer’s Office received a special award for having employed a person with a disability for 20 years.

New Hope Industries serves about 140 people with disabilities, including about 90 who work in the sheltered workshop on Newark Road and another 40 in jobs at various businesses and agencies in the community.
