MOUNT VERNON -- Voters turned out early and in strong numbers Tuesday at voting precincts all across Knox County.
MOUNT VERNON -- A trio of candidates vied for Allen Stockberger's seat on the Knox County Board of Commissioners during Tuesday's election. One candidate cleared the way to victory garnering nearly half of the votes -- Thom Collier.
MOUNT VERNON -- Knox County Republicans gathered at the Alcove Tuesday night, watching early results in the presidential race and receiving updates as Knox County precinct results were compiled.
MOUNT VERNON -- Democrats gathered at Flappers Bar &Grille on Tuesday evening to watch the returns.
MOUNT VERNON -- Unofficial election results indicate only two of the five school levies on Tuesday's ballot passed -- those proposed by the Ashland-West Holmes Joint Vocational School and Centerburg Local Schools. East Knox, North Fork and Mount Vernon school district residents rejected their respective levy proposals.
MOUNT VERNON -- By Tuesday night's election totals, the Knox County Board of Health levy passed by just 254 votes. However, 787 provisional votes remain to be counted, which could change the dynamic to the levy request.
MOUNT VERNON -- The annual Friends of the Campus event held recently at the COTC Knox Campus had a unique flavor this year as COTC leaders pledged their ongoing commitment to serve the Knox County community.

Report of babies born at hospitals other than Knox Community Hospital must be submitted in writing. Include parents’ names, address, age, baby’s sex, and date and place of birth. If either parent is under the age of 18, the signature of a parent or guardian is necessary for each of the baby’s underage parents.
