MOUNT VERNON — Students in the Information Technology program at Knox County Career Center will be presenting on Tuesday, at the Ohio School Boards Association Capital Conference and Trade Show, one of the nation’s premiere education conferences.
Instructor Ann Marie Orr told the News the students will be presenting an online collaborative tool called Edmodo. “Edmodo provides teachers and students a secure place to connect and collaborate, share content and educational applications, and access homework, grades, class discussions and notifications,” she said. “Edmodo allows our class to harness the power of social media to customize the classroom for each and every learner.”According to Orr, Edmodo can be used to: Browse lesson-ready videos, links, and files; find resources and share content with your connections, see related topics and get recommendations; and connect with other educators teaching the same topics, discuss lessons, share ideas and form learning communities.
