Last year the auxiliary raised approximately $4,000 and provided gifts for 92 children in Knox County. This year’s auction raised approximately $4,100.

Businesses and members contributed auction items for the event and this year items ranged from baked goods to Christmas and home decor and a wide variety of miscellaneous including roller blades and gloves. Several businesses made monetary contributions and number of gift certificates to area businesses were also donated.

“We would like to thank everyone who donated items and money. We sure appreciate it,” stated Priscilla Cunningham, second vice.

Knox County children’s names are attained from registrations with the auxiliary and from Interchurch and The Salvation Army. The group gathers the children’s clothing sizes, ages and wish lists and then purchase gifts which will be wrapped and ready for families to pick up and place under their trees.
