MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Commissioners spent more than an hour Monday meeting with representatives of Meritain Health about the administration of the wellness portion of the county’s health insurance plan.
Information about the plan will be going out to county employees early in December to coincide with the plan’s open enrollment period.
Wellness Plan Strategist Patricia Tucker said she wanted to understand what the county is doing now to encourage participation and to explain the programs Meritain has. She also said they need to get data on the number of employees who are not compliant with the wellness program and also about how many are involved in disease management programs.
