The ornaments are paid for, in part, by a donation from the Fredericktown Village Council and will be for sale at local Fredericktown businesses throughout the Christmas season, for a donation of $15. These local businesses are: Grubb’s Feed Express, Huff’s Fine Jewelers, A Taste of Country, the Fredericktown Community Library and Fredericktown Chevrolet. Ornaments will be for sale during the Christmas Walk on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Masonic Lodge next to the Senior Citizens Center. In addition to the new ornaments, a limited number of ornaments are still available from previous years. These ornaments will be sold for $15 on the day of the Christmas Walk and through the local merchants. Many of these past ornaments will be retired at the end of the year.

The first 25 ornaments have been stamped and numbered and are sold each year for $25 each. The first three of this set will be auctioned off during the Food for the Hungry Charity Auction on Sunday at the Senior Citizens Center starting at 1 p.m. Families who have obtained particular numbered ornaments from previous years will be given the opportunity to reserve the same ornament number this year. A few limited edition numbers are still available. If interested, contact the village office at 694-9010 or Shari Miller by email at All proceeds from the sale of this ornament will be used to support the efforts of the Fredericktown Salvation Army and Interchurch Social Services.
