MOUNT VERNON — On Sept. 24, attorneys for the Mount Vernon school board filed a motion with the Supreme Court of Ohio to strike, or disregard, parts of the merit brief John Freshwater filed with the court.
On Wednesday, the court denied the school district’s motion. No reasons were given. The ruling simply states:
“Upon consideration of appellee’s motion to strike propositions of law 1& 2, appendix pages 49 & 55-56, and supplement pages 103-116 from the merit brief of appellant, it is ordered by the court that the motion is denied.”
