MOUNT VERNON — The holiday period is in full swing, and schools throughout the area have been busy preparing programs to celebrate the season. The performances are as follows:

Monday, Dec. 10, High School music concert, 7 p.m.., high school auditorium.

Wednesday, Dec. 12, grades seven and eight, music concert, 7 p.m. high school auditorium.

Thursday, Dec. 13, grades five and six, music program, 7 p.m., high school auditorium.

Danville

Thursday, Dec. 6, kindergarten and grades one and three, 6 p.m., high school auditorium; Tuesday., Dec. 11, grades two and four, 6 p.m., high school auditorium.

East Knox

Holiday Band Concert, grades six through 12. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 8 p.m., East Knox High School auditorium.

Fredericktown

Wednesday, Dec. 12, band concert, Elementary Commons. Grades six and seven band, 6 p.m.; grade eight and high school band, 7 p.m.

Columbia Elementary music program, “The Holidays Are Here,” Monday, Dec. 17, 1 p.m., school gymnasium, for parents only.

Dan Emmett Elementary for parents and grandparents. Thursday, Dec. 13, “Celebrate!” Two performances, school gymnasium; 10:45 a.m., morning kindergarten, Mrs. Overholt’s, Mrs. Joseph’s, Mrs. Seng’s and Mrs. Goeppinger’s classes; 2:45 p.m., afternoon kindergarten, all third-grade classes and Mrs. Marth’s fourth-grade class.
