MOUNT VERNON — A Mount Vernon man, walking on Ohio 661, just south of Mount Vernon near Sharp Road, was hit and injured by a car at about 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott Bryant, no age listed, Mount Vernon, was injured and taken to Knox Community Hospital by the Mount Vernon Fire Department.
Bryant was transported to Grant Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition this morning and may be released this afternoon.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Bryant was crossing the road and was struck by a southbound car driven Sibley Poland, 37, Mount Vernon.
The accident remains under investigation.
