The rest of the meeting was largely routine, Treasurer Jessi Busenburg told the News on Thursday.

Besides approving typical fiscal actions, the board gratefully accepted an anonymous donation of $3,200 to the Class of 2013 to off set the costs for prom. It also expressed appreciation for a $1,500 from Bladensburg Sertoma to go toward the purchase of equipment for a visually-impaired kindergarten pupil. The board accepted a $6,800 quote from Bender communications to update bus radios to comply with changes in FCC guidelines and entered into a power supply agreement with Direct Energy at a rate of 4.827 cents per kWh, effective Jan. 1.
