GAMBIER — Sunday school teacher Korinna Waddell and youth group leader Darlene Rousseau teamed up with Kenyon College and First Congregational United Church of Christ youth group to collect clean-up supplies and raise funds to support relief efforts on the east coast after hurricane Sandy displaced thousands from their homes.

Kenyon College faculty and staff filled over 35 buckets with clean-up supplies and donated over $500 to purchase supplies. First Congregational raised an additional $1,200 and donated 50 buckets, purchased at cost from Lowe’s. Youth group members, Meredith Dunn, Adam Dunn, Nicole Paradis, Brett Davidson, Shayne Foster, Olivia Long, Alyssa Cole, Bailey Cole, Suzy Wood, Alisha Hite and Cassie Millet, helped pack and label buckets for shipping.

The buckets were shipped this week to Church World Service, in New Windsor, Md.
