MOUNT VERNON — Locally ECR is all about computers — it’s Everything Computer Related. Residents and business owners know that ECR provides Internet services, computer sales, web hosting and website development. But the recent news from Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich’s office that ECR would receive state tax credits to add 20 new jobs in Mount Vernon and 150 jobs in Columbus also introduced a new company identity to the local community.

ECR is the parent company and RevLocal, with an additional location in Columbus, is specifically dedicated to online marketing solutions for businesses. An online presence for businesses is considered an essential marketing tool for businesses.

Executive Vice President Aaron Boggs explained, “Think about the transition from the Yellow Pages to online. Google has allowed us to be more relevant and promote ourselves visually online.”

Where once business advertising was a matter of what size ad and whether to put color in an ad, now what they can say online is unlimited and the visual presence can include slide shows and video. An online presence can include paid searches, map marketing, social media and much more in a package specifically designed to meet a business’s needs.
