FREDERICKTOWN — The Fredericktown school board on Tuesday closed out its business for 2012, approved routine annual actions and reorganized for 2013. James Blanchard was elected president of the board and Charles Streby will serve as vice president. Committee assignments are the same as last year. Regular meetings in 2013 will be held in the administration board room on the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.

During the regular January meeting which followed the reorganizational session, student representative Rachel Shaffer reported on the band’s trip to Macy’s Universal Studios Holiday Parade. Elementary parent Amanda Lee relayed some parents’ concerns about bullying and building security and the board assured her student and staff safety is a priority for everyone.
