NEWARK — A Mount Vernon man was indicted by the Licking County grand jury earlier this week on four charges following online conversations with a police officer posing as a teenage girl.
According to the indictment, David Sparks, 43, was charged with importuning or soliciting sex from a minor between the ages of 13 and 16.
He was also charged with three counts of disseminating harmful materials to a juvenile.
Sparks entered a not guilty plea and bond was set at $25,000 cash surety bond or 10 percent cash.
He was arrested on Dec. 24, and remains at the Licking County Jail.
