MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Educational Service Center board resolved Wednesday to discontinue billing agencies for fingerprinting if they have outstanding invoices. The associated individuals will therefore have to pay for that service upfront.
Besides conducting routine fiscal business, the board accepted a $250 donation from Jet Music for the All county Band and $500 from the Rotary for the Knox County Spelling Bee to be held in the Danville High School theater at 7 p.m. on Jan. 14. It also entered into a contract with the Virtual Community School of Ohio for on-line curriculum and instruction at the Virtual Academy.
With regard to personnel, the board approved supplemental contracts for educational aides Mark Kreps and Delaine McDonald, with costs to be billed back to Mount Vernon City Schools and Danville Local Schools, respectively. It also added to the substitute teacher and substitute aide lists.
