MOUNT VERNON — Roger Reed was appointed as president of the Knox County Board of Commissioners for 2013 during its annual reorganizational meeting Monday morning. Appointed to serve as vice president in the coming year was Teresa Bemiller, while serving as clerk/administrator for 2013 will be Rochelle Shackle.

The commissioners approved a resolution to establish a schedule of meetings for the coming year. These will remain at 10 a.m. each Monday and Thursday until completion of business on these days, with the exception being holidays.

Each of the commissioners were then approved to serve on various committees during the year. Reed will serve on committees for the investment board, Emergency Management Agency, Station Break, Ohio Public Works Commission (alternate), Area Development Foundation board, revolving loan board and board of revision.
