MOUNT VERNON — Registration is open for the winter-spring sessions of Storytime and Baby Storyland at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry St., Mount Vernon.

Storytime for Twos and Early Three-Year Olds will be held at 10 a.m. on Mondays or Thursdays. Preschool and Kindergarten Storytime is held each Tuesday at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. Family Storytime for children through age 8 and their parents or caregivers begins at 6:30 Tuesday evenings.

Participants in each program will enjoy books, finger plays, movement activities, music and crafts.

Baby Storyland will be offered each Wednesday morning at 10. Librarians will share simple books, rhymes and puppets. Babies up to 24 months will enjoy movement and music activities, and plenty of bubbles. Following the program, parents or caregivers are encouraged to stay and visit with each other while their babies play.

Sessions begin the week of Jan. 27. Register for any of these free programs by calling 740-392-2665, ext. 248, or in person at the Youth Services Department.
