MOUNT VERNON — Monroe Township’s zoning board of appeals recently approved a conditional use variance for Nathan and Sara Bazler, owners of Little Puppies Online, to build a facility on a property located on O’Brien Road. The variance was necessary because the property is zoned A1 — Agriculture use.
“If someone wants to use the land for something other than agriculture,” explained Monroe Township Zoning Officer David McMahon, “they have to have a conditional use or variance. That’s determined by what’s in our zoning code.”
Several area residents voiced objections to the variance and presented petitions to the Zoning Board of Appeals, which ultimately voted 3-2 in favor of granting the variance.
