  • The old College Township ambulance in the background has been sold to the American Red Cross of Knox County. Making the transfer Wednesday night were, from left, College Township trustees, Jim Kousoulas and Jim Ingerham, Fire Chief Bill Smith, Sam Barone, Community Foundation of Mount Vernon and Knox County and Kelly Brenneman, Red Cross director. The $10,000 cost of the squad was paid for with grants from the foundation and Ariel Foundation.
