DANVILLE — Danville will have to fill a seat on Village Council after it was announced Monday that Danny Slone had submitted his resignation.
Slone had not attended a meeting since November and faxed his letter of resignation to the village recently. Council will have 30 days to appoint someone to fill his term, which ends Dec. 31, 2013. The person appointed by council will have to run for re-election on the November ballot if they so desire.
Interested residents who are registered voters are asked to submit their request in writing to the village offices.
