MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Common Pleas Court Judge Otho Eyster requested a continuance in the trial of Richard Posey Jr.
A jury trial, originally scheduled for Tuesday, has been postponed until March 5.
Posey was arrested on Sept. 11, 2012, following a traffic citation, on charges of drug trafficking in heroin. He was indicted by the grand jury in October on 15 felony counts including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, human trafficking, compelling prostitution, receiving stolen property, possession of cocaine and heroin.
Posey remains in the Knox County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is being represented by James Giles.
