MOUNT VERNON — Operations have resumed today at The Station Break Senior Center after the center was closed due to flooding caused by a burst sprinkler system pipe on Jan. 24.
The in-house Hot Meals service was suspended while cleanup procedures were taking place to get the center back to operating conditions, said Bob McIlvain. Frozen meals were delivered in two-day allotments while the center was closed.
Once the facility was dried and proper repairs made, Knox County Health Department officials inspected on Wednesday and gave their OK for the facility to reopen.
