MOUNT VERNON — According to Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher, three indictments were returned on Monday by the Knox County Grand Jury. Arraignment hearings in the cases are scheduled for February 15, before Common Pleas Court Judge Otho Eyster.
William A. Lemaster, 42, Centerburg, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol for the sixth time in the past twenty years. Lemaster was arrested by Deputy Brandon Minot, Knox County Sheriff’s Office, after he allegedly failed field sobriety tests during a traffic stop, on January 22. Thatcher said Lemaster was also charged with the felony crime of refusing to submit to a chemical test.
Shannon M. Kitts, 34, Howard, faces receiving stolen property and possession of heroin charges. Thatcher said the Sheriff’s Office allegedly found Kitts in possession of two stolen guitars and a gram of heroin, on January 22. Nicholas M. Parson, 24, was with Kitts on January 22, and was also charged with possession of heroin. Detective Doug Turpen investigated the cases.
