MOUNT VERNON — The public is invited to a Grand Reception on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, 201 N. Mulberry St., Mount Vernon.
Guests can enjoy an array of culinary delights and live musical performances at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. to honor library’s original opening day of Feb. 16, 1888, in Mount Vernon on the corner of Main and Sugar streets.
Special remarks will be made at 2 p.m..
Watch for more events as the library staff celebrate the Quasquicentennial throughout 2013.
