MOUNT VERNON -- The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County is 125 years old this year. It was first chartered as a municipal library and was located on the corner of Sugar and North Main Streets, across from the Congregational Church.
MOUNT VERNON -- Mount Vernon Municipal Planning Commission voted unanimously Wednesday to recommend rezoning of property at the corner of Ohio 13 and Upper Fredericktown Road.

MOUNT VERNON -- According to Mount Vernon Police Department reports, a laptop computer and a cell phone were taken from a room at the Curtis Inn sometime between Feb. 7 and Feb. 12.
