Art Cassell, center, was honored during halftime of Friday’s boys basketball game between New Albany and Mount Vernon. Cassell, 85, sold tickets for Yellow Jacket football and basketball games from 1955 until his retirement in 2011. He taught math at Mount Vernon until 1985, then worked at The Ohio State University’s Mansfield and Newark campuses at night. He began selling tickets as a student at Michigan State in 1949.
