MOUNT VERNON — City Council Monday will consider whether to increase any of the fees for Hiawatha Water Park, Mayor Richard Mavis reported at his weekly press briefing Friday.
Mavis said that in reviewing the budget this winter, it was clear that revenues have been lower than the cost of operation. At 6:45 p.m. Monday, a committee meeting will consider whether to raise daily rates, raise seasonal rates, do both or do nothing.
“We need to decide soon, because we’ll be getting the pool brochures printed soon to mail out around the end of March,” Mavis said.
