MOUNT VERNON — An investigation continues pertaining to the death of Brad Grosscup, who was found dead in an apartment house fire Feb. 14 at 209 Shirley Ave. No further information was available this morning from an investigative team, comprised of members of the Mount Vernon Police Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

“We’re still waiting on the investigation’s proceedings. The detectives are still working on it,” said Mount Vernon Police Captain George Hartz. “We have a pretty open flow of communication. As they learn stuff, I try to talk to them every day.”

Jedidiah Lang and Amber Pilotti were both arraigned on two counts of aggravated arson Friday in Knox County Court of Common Pleas. Both entered a plea of not guilty. Lang and Pilotti were placed on bond of $250,000 and $100,000, respectively.
