MOUNT VERNON — The offer to put together a proposal was heard by the Knox County Board of Commissioners when they were addressed by Mike Burch of Burch Hydro Inc. of Fredericktown on Monday morning. Since 1980, Burch Hydro has been providing an environmental service of properly disposing of biosolids.
Burch explained that the Environmental Protection Agency is drastically changing its regulations pertaining to the disposal of biosolids and wished to offer a proposal for the county as they are in the process of completing a new water treatment plant in Howard.
