FREDERICKTOWN — The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile made its first visit to Fredericktown on Tuesday. It set up at Fredericktown Head Start at 123 W. High St. The Care Mobile has been in Knox County at the health department several times last year. It is scheduled this spring on March 26 and May 28. It will visit The Sanctuary in Danville, April 30.
The self-contained truck mounted unit offers health care service for children from birth to age 21. No appointments are necessary for the services. The state-of-the-art care mobile is staffed with a full-time doctor, nurse and medical technician.
Services include well-care visits, immunizations, sports physicals and sick child appointments. There is a cost for a visit to the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile with an insurance or Medicare card. However, no child will be turned away for a family’s inability to pay.
