UTICA — On Monday, the North Fork school board issued special commendations to junior high student Emily Murnane who has qualified for participation in the 2013 Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication Regional Spelling Bee.

It also recognized Gene Christopher and Leigh Dickson for their donation to the district of PBS Science and Social Studies DVDs and acknowledges the donation made by Aetna Foundation on behalf of Newton Elementary parent Farrah Cooperider.
