FREDERICKTOWN — “If we don’t make something happen, there won’t be anything left to fix.”
This statement by Fredericktown Community Development Foundation President Judy Divelbiss was the essence of her message to the foundation’s annual meeting Thursday evening.
“There are things I would like to accomplish, but I need help,” she said as she encouraged members to volunteer for various committees and help with community events.
Key presentations for the evening came from Steve Waers, executive director of the Area Development Foundation and president of the Mount Vernon Heritage Centre Association board of trustees, and Carrie Crouch, manager of the HCA.
Waers presented the bigger picture of development efforts in the county, emphasizing positive developments in the local economy, and showing a video about job opportunities available at local businesses such as Ariel Corp., Rolls-Royce and FT Precision.
