  • Saturday night was the fifth production of Knox Squares, a local take on Hollywood Squares, but this time with a twist, all the squares were filled with celebrities from the past. During the show each gave a little talk about their life. Here Jim Stoner as Mount Vernon’s Paul Lynde, filled the center square just as Lynde did on Hollywood Squares. Other local actors filling the squares included Amy Stoner as Helen Zelkowitz, Ken Barnett as Mark Twain, Chris Petee as Minnie Pearl, Doug Gustafson as Groucho Marx, Jeff Putnam as Buddy Holly. Mark Jordan, as Orson Welles, was the host. Mark Ramser won the game after defeating Sam Barone in the title round. Margaret Ann Ruhl and Carol Grubaugh were also contestants. The night served as a fundraiser for HopeNow. style=

  • This tractor-trailer, loaded with scrap steel, was eastbound and ran off Ohio 229 just west  of Burtnett Road about 9 a.m. today. The driver was not injured, according to the Rick Lanuzza of the Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District EMS. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. style=
