DANVILLE — The village of Danville is considering raising its water rates.
Members of council discussed Monday the possibility of raising the base monthly rate by $2, $2.50 or even $3 a month. The increase is needed because of several projects that have been completed in the last year or so and the need for money to pay for future projects, according to Mayor Bob Dile.
Residents of the village currently pay $15.75 a month as a base water rate for those who use less than the minimum amount of water. That rate has not changed in the last 14 years.
