Sheriff Richard Brenneman said a 29-year-old woman was found unconscious on County Road 14, between Ohio 314 and the Knox County line, at about 4 a.m. The woman had been seen earlier walking north of Chesterville in the area of Pulaskiville.

She was taken to Grant Medical Center by helicopter to be treated for a broken neck, severe head trauma and multiple lacerations to her face.

Holly McMillen, 29, is conscious but can’t remember many details.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to call Detective Gibson at the sheriff’s office at 419-946-4444.

A message left for Brenneman seeking additional details was unreturned at press time.
