FREDERICKTOWN —Did Little Orphan Annie live happily ever after after she and her dog Sandy went to live with Daddy Warbucks?
You can find out this week when the Fredericktown junior and senior high music and theater departments present “Annie Warbucks.”
Ramey Turner is Annie and Drew Carrier stars as Daddy Warbucks in this musical, a sequel to the original “Annie” which features a cast of about 30 actors. There are new villains, new heroes, new adventures and, yes, Sandy the Dog, played by Turbo.
The action starts when the New York City Child Welfare Authority decides Annie’s adoption by bachelor Warbucks is against the law. The search for a suitable wife is launched and Annie decides to take matters into her own hands.
The musical score includes “Annie Ain’t Just Annie Anymore,” “The Other Woman” and “All Dolled Up.”
The curtain rises on the main stage in the Fredericktown Elementary Commons today, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are available in the school office during regular school hours and at the door prior to each show.
