Teachers nominated students who, individually or as a group, have positively impacted their schools and/or communities. Achievement categories included academics, arts, athletics, community service, employment, extracurricular activity and independent living skills. As the awards were announced one-by-one, the presenter listed that particular student’s qualities which sparked his or her nomination.

Family, friends, school administrators and instructors applauded proudly as students accepted well-deserved certificates and medals, and several honorees received recognition in multiple categories.
