UTICA — Displeasure with the proposed House Bill 601 was voiced by Mayor Lester Grennell when Utica Village Council met Monday evening at town hall.

“They are wanting to take over the tax part of our municipality to collect the taxes and send the taxes on,” said Grennell. “I am in strong opposition of that. It makes no sense other than it’s going to help the bottom line of the state.”
