CENTERBURG — The Centerburg school board on Monday issued formal commendations to basketball coach Todd Nauman. The board recognized the added dedication of Nauman in devoting many years of service to the students athletes and congratulated him for reaching 300 career victories as a Centerburg basketball coach.

Nauman, who has coached 20 years, said there was no magic to achieving the victory milestone. “It’s the players and all the time in the gym,” he said. “There’s no magic to it. It’s just hard work.”

The board also heard about other achievements. High School principal Ryan Gallwitz announced the Trojan Crier did well in state competition, and Superintendent Mike Hebenthal reported the district’s Race to the Top audit has been completed and said the auditor “was very impressed because we are ahead of where we need to be.”
