MOUNT VERNON — Most of Thursday’s meeting of the Knox County Emergency Management Agency Board was taken up with reports from Director Mark Maxwell on projects either already or soon to be under way. Maxwell had priced Ford Explorers, F150 pickup trucks and Chevy Tahoes and the board decided to go with a Tahoe because the center console in the Explorers cannot be removed to allow the installation of radio equipment and the pick-up would require too many other options to allow for secure storage and access to equipment.

Maxwell will get prices from local dealers to compare to the State Purchase Contract price.
