MOUNT VERNON — Spring and summer fashions were the focus of nearly 200 women on Saturday, despite the cool, gray skies over Knox County. The event was the annual Soroptimist International of Mount Vernon/Knox County’s 2013 Annual Fashion Show, and it was held for the first time at Kenyon College’s Gund Commons.
“We are delighted with the change of venue,” said Soroptimist director Joan Stallard.
Before the show began, attendees had the opportunity to visit product displays including The Weathervane, Party Lite, Mary Kay, Silpada and many more. They also signed up for numerous silent auction items.
Guests also enjoyed the luncheon provided by Kenyon’s AVI catering. Lunch, jewelry, cosmetics, and scents met with audience approval before the models stepped out in fashions, not only from The Weathervane, but also Peebles, Christopher & Banks, and CJ Banks.
