DANVILLE — The Danville school board on Monday approved end-of-year graduation and senior activities for the class of 2013. It also accepted the list of seniors for graduation, pending completion of all state and local requirements and school obligations.

Treasurer Mary Payne told the News on Tuesday the rest of the meeting was largely routine.

With regard to personnel, the board granted the retirement request of intervention specialist Barbara Smith, effective May 31. Smith has served the district for 35 years. The board also accepted letters of resignation from high school computer science teacher Glenda Dilts, agriculture educator and FFA advisor Sabrina Schirtzinger and sixth-grade reading and language arts instructor Wendy Colopy.
