MOUNT VERNON — The city is busy evaluating possible projects for its 2013 Community Development Block Grant application, Mayor Richard Mavis reported Friday.

No one from the public attended Thursday’s public hearing, the first scheduled for the application, so Mavis, Safety-Service Director Dave Glass and the grant administrator used the time to go over the possibilities.

“We’re looking for projects that could have impacts on neighborhoods,” the mayor said.
